Harvey is the father not just of Kaytlin but the barn. He brings Oreos, licorice, hot drinks in winter, and cold ones in summer to the barn girls and our employees.

Harvey teased Kaytlin since she was little that she could only have one large, pungent male in her life at a time and he preferred it was a horse! In 2000, after his wife broke her leg – in a riding accident, what else?! – he took her for a drive to get her out of the house and on that trip they found a piece of land. He decided that the only way he would get to see his wife and daughter was to build them their own barn. After Harvey retired, the idea grew, and in 2004 he broke ground on his dream. Harvey was instrumental in the design and building of the barn. In the early stages, he took care of everything on the farm. As the farm has grown from 8 to 34 stalls he now oversees “Manure Management and Facility Repairs”. When the sun is just right you can see him outside with his camera snapping shots of the horses being horses or playing in his tractor.
